Vladimir Ivanovich Chestnokov [30.3(12.4).1904 St. Petersburg - 15.5.1968 Leningrad] Soviet actor People's Artist of the USSR (1960). Member of the CPSU since 1941. He graduated from the School of Russian Drama in 1924. In 1924-36 and since 1954 at the Leningrad Pushkin Drama Theater (in 1937-53 in the Leningrad theaters - named after the Lenin Komsomol of the Baltic Fleet Drama). He created the image of V. I. Lenin in the performances of Kapler’s “Severe happiness” by Mikhailov “Flowers are alive” Pogodin “Between showers” Stein in the film “In the days of October” (1958). He starred in films (The Fourth Periscope 1939; Academician Ivan Pavlov 1949; The Green Carriage 1967, etc.). In 1949-53 he taught at the Ostrovsky Leningrad Theatre Institute. State Prize of the USSR (1950 1967). He was awarded the Order of Lenin 2 with other orders and medals.
