One of the most filmed actors of the 60-70s. He played mainly officers (both Soviet and foreign), investigators and officials, often starred in Leonid Gaidai. The most famous role is Anisim Shatrov (“Shadows disappear at noon”).
Lev Polyakov studied at the aviation technical school, then at the Higher Naval School in Baku, dreamed of connecting his fate with military service. However, participation in amateur activities and love for the theater changed these plans. Polyakov entered the Moscow Art Theater School, and after 2 years he played in BDT. But that didn't seem enough. In the mid-50s, Lev Polyakov became a student of VGIK in the workshop of S. Gerasimov and T. Makarova and began to actively star in films.
The most notable roles of Polyakov are: Rastayayev (“The Case of the “motleys”), Gruzinov (“Michman Panin”), Nikolai Ignatiev (“Two Lives”), Stolbov (“Colleagues”), Father Nikolai (“What the taiga was silent about”), Zipunov (“Crash”), Zagladin (“Adjutant of His Excellency”), Captain (“Diamond Hand”), Kellerman (“Waterloo”).
Honored Artist of Russia.
In 1958 he graduated from VGIK and entered the theater-studio of the film actor.
