Nikolai Sidelnikov is a Russian Soviet composer, author of symphonic works and music for films. He was born in Tver on June 5, 1930. He began his professional career at the Moscow Conservatory, where he graduated in 1957. Here he studied with prominent Soviet authors – Yuri Shaporin and Aram Khachaturyan. Nikolai Sidelnikov is a Russian Soviet composer, author of symphonic works and music for films.
He was born in Tver on June 5, 1930. He began his professional career at the Moscow Conservatory, where he graduated in 1957. Here he studied with prominent Soviet authors – Yuri Shaporin and Aram Khachaturyan. In 1961, Nikolai Nikolaevich taught composition in his alma mater. Over the years of pedagogical activity, he created his own unique teaching system, raised dozens of talented composers, among his students were Vyacheslav Artemov, Eduard Artemiev, Vladimir Tarnopolsky, Vladimir Martynov and many others.
He wrote several operas, the ballet Stepan Razin, a number of symphonic, as well as choral and chamber works. He proved himself Sidelnikov and as a talented film composer, acting as the author of music for such films as
"Three fat men" "Jamila", "Scenes from family life", "Trip to Wiesbaden".
He died on June 20, 1992 in Moscow.
